Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Set Up Your Call for Info Phone Number
You'll be prompted to create a Twilio account, which is the phone partner that provides your dedicated phone number.
2. Integrate Your Twilio Phone Number
Your account will prompt you to add your Twilio Account SID, Twilio Auth Token and your Twilio Phone Number. All of these will be found on your Twilio account Dashboard.
3. Record Your Main Greeting
Click the Greeting tab, then click Record New Greeting. Enter a descriptive name for your greeting (such as "Main Business Greeting"). Your main greeting should be friendly and instruct callers to enter an extension followed by the pound sign (#).
Important Note: The recording phone number and extension shown on your screen are only for recording purposes. Don't confuse these with your actual Messages phone number or your live extensions.
4. Call to Record Your Greeting
Call the Audio Message phone number displayed on your screen and enter the recording extension when prompted. Record your greeting message, then press * to save it. Wait about 10 seconds for the Next button to appear on your computer screen, then click it.
5. Set Up Your Extensions
After recording your main greeting, create extensions for different types of information. For each extension, you can record specific messages about topics like:
- Business hours and location
- Services and pricing
- Special offers or promotions
- Frequently asked questions
- Appointment scheduling information
6. Test Your System
Call your Call for Info number to test the complete caller experience. Verify that your main greeting plays clearly, extensions work properly, and any notifications trigger correctly.
Tip: To reduce wait time for callers, instruct them to press the extension number followed by # (pound sign) instead of waiting for the system to automatically transfer.

Q: What happens if someone calls but doesn't press an extension?
A: If callers don't press an extension, they'll hear your main greeting and then be prompted to leave a message and then disconnect after a set time. Make sure your main greeting clearly instructs callers on how to use the system.
