How to Create a Popup Form

What You'll Accomplish

By the end of this guide, you'll have a working popup form on your website that captures visitor information and automatically adds new leads to your database. When someone clicks your button, a form appears directly on your site without redirecting them to a different page.

Why This Matters

Popup forms keep visitors on your website while capturing their contact information. Unlike landing pages that take visitors to a separate URL, popup forms appear as an overlay on your existing site. This creates a smoother experience and reduces the chance visitors will abandon the process.

Popup forms are ideal for newsletter signups, free resource downloads, webinar registrations, and consultation requests.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have access to edit your website's HTML or content management system. You'll need to paste embed code onto the page where you want the popup to appear.

A popup form is a small, interactive window that appears on your website when a button is clicked.

It's designed to capture user information, such as email addresses or contact details, in exchange for a specific offer or incentive.

Here is what it may look like on your website.

To create a Popup form go to Automation then Landing Pages.

Click Create New Landing Page, Filter by Popup Forms.

Here are a few popup form samples you can use. Or you can create your own. Let’s use this one.

Name it and then click the “edit with content designer” button to open the editor and make any changes.

You may want to change the design or change the form fields.

When you have it just the way you want it, click “save changes” and then click “done editing content”.

Now go to the popup form tab and this is where you will design your button. You can change the color and or style so it looks great on your website.

Once you have the button just the way you want it, copy this embed code here and paste it into your website.

If you don’t know how to do that, copy the code and email it to your website administrator.

Now you have a button on your site that will pop up a lead form.

When someone enters their information, that lead goes right into your CRM database.
