Create a CSV file in Microsoft Excel to Import

If you have an Excel file that you want to import, first save the file as a .CSV file. Here is how.

1. In Microsoft Excel, select File, then Save As.

2. Choose the option CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv).

There are other types of CSV files listed farther down this list, but "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)" is the proper format for importing into the database.
