Landing Pages Overview
What This Feature Does
Landing pages are standalone web pages designed to capture contact information through forms. Unlike your main website, each landing page focuses on a single goal—collecting leads from a specific campaign, event, or offer. When someone submits the form, their information enters your database automatically and can trigger workflows, autoresponders, and other automations.
The system provides pre-built templates you can customize with your branding, messaging, and form fields. Edit text, swap images, adjust colors, and configure which information you collect—all through a visual Content Designer that requires no coding skills.
Each landing page includes built-in analytics showing page views, form completions, and conversion rates, helping you measure campaign effectiveness and optimize performance over time.
Why It Matters
Landing pages convert visitors into contacts by providing focused, distraction-free experiences designed around a single call-to-action. Without competing navigation, sidebars, or multiple links, visitors focus entirely on your offer and the form in front of them.
Create dedicated landing pages for webinars, downloadable guides, event registrations, consultation requests, or any campaign where capturing contact information is the primary goal. Connect them to ad campaigns, social media posts, or email links to drive targeted traffic to focused conversion points.
Once someone submits a form, automation takes over—categorizing contacts, triggering email sequences, assigning tasks to your team, and starting nurture workflows without any manual work from you.
💡 Build your landing page once, then use it across multiple campaigns while tracking exactly which sources drive the most conversions.
How It Works
Template Selection and Customization
Start by selecting from pre-built templates organized by style and length. Each template includes placeholder text, images, and a form structure you can customize to match your needs.
The Content Designer provides a visual drag-and-drop editor organized into three main tabs:
CONTENT Tab - Building blocks for your page including Title, Paragraph, Image, Button, List, Divider, Spacer, Video, Form, Social icons, HTML blocks, Menu, Sticker, GIF, and Icons. Drag any element onto your page to add it.
ROWS Tab - Pre-configured layout structures showing different column arrangements. Choose from various grid patterns to organize your content sections.
SETTINGS Tab - Design controls including content area width, alignment, background color, default font, link color, page metadata (title and description), and favicon configuration.
Click any element on your page to edit it directly—replace text, swap images, adjust colors, or modify styling using the properties panel.
Form Configuration
Forms can collect standard contact information (name, email, phone, address) plus up to 40 additional custom fields. Choose which fields to display, make specific fields required, and add placeholder text to guide submissions.
Click the form on your page to open Form Properties where you can add new fields, edit existing ones, reorder fields by dragging, and configure field types (Text, Email, Phone, Number, Date, Multiple Choice, Dropdown, Long Text, URL, Single Choice).
Name is always required. Email is strongly recommended since duplicate detection relies on email addresses to identify returning contacts.
Actions and Automation
Configure what happens automatically when someone submits your form through the Actions tab:
- Contact Organization - Assign category, tags, and source for instant segmentation
- Workflow Triggers - Start automated sequences immediately upon submission
- Autoresponders - Enroll contacts in email drip campaigns
- Task Assignment - Create to-dos or assign complete to-do plans for follow-up
- Team Notifications - Alert up to 3 team members via email when forms are submitted
- Team Databases - Assign contacts to specific team member databases
- Duplicate Handling - Choose whether duplicate submissions update existing contact data or leave original data unchanged
Thank You Page
After form submission, contacts see a customizable Thank You page accessible through the Thank You tab. Use the same Content Designer to create a professional confirmation experience with:
- Thank you message and next steps
- Additional images or videos
- Links to resources or downloads
- Redirect options to external URLs or other landing pages
Advanced Options and Popup Forms
The Advanced tab provides additional configuration options for power users implementing custom tracking or integrations.
The Popup Form tab lets you configure your landing page to display as a popup overlay on other pages instead of as a standalone page—useful for embedding lead capture across your website.
Distribution Methods
Share your landing pages through multiple channels using the Links dropdown:
- Full Link - Direct URL you can share anywhere
- QR Code - Scannable code for print materials or in-person events
- IFrame Embed - HTML code to embed the form directly on your existing website
Analytics and Tracking
Built-in analytics accessible from the Analytics tab show:
- Page Views - Total visits to your landing page
- Form Completions - Number of submissions
- Conversion Rate - Percentage of visitors who complete the form
- Submission Log - Raw data for each individual submission
Export all contacts who submitted a form to Group Actions for further analysis or bulk updates.
Organization and Management
Organize your landing pages into folders for better management when you have multiple campaigns running. The main Landing Pages list displays page thumbnails, edit dates, lead counts, and quick-access icons for analytics, copying, and deletion.
Pages can be sorted by folders using the dropdown filter, and recently edited pages appear in a separate tab for quick access.
Publishing Controls
Landing pages go live immediately upon creation unless you activate the Offline toggle in the Preview tab. Use Offline mode to:
- Build and test pages before launching campaigns
- Temporarily deactivate pages between campaigns
- Make updates without affecting live traffic
Toggle between Offline and Online anytime from the Preview tab using the Live/Offline switch at the top of the page.
Questions and Answers
Q: How many landing pages can I create?
A: There's no set limit on the number of landing pages. Create as many as you need for different campaigns, offers, or audiences.
Q: Can I organize my landing pages into folders?
A: Yes. Use folders to organize pages by campaign, client, product line, or any system that makes sense for your business. This makes finding and managing pages much easier when you have dozens of landing pages.
Q: Can I use the same landing page for multiple campaigns?
A: Yes, but tracking performance becomes harder. Best practice is creating separate pages for each campaign so analytics show which specific source drives conversions. Use the Copy function to duplicate existing pages quickly.
Q: What happens if someone submits the form twice?
A: Duplicates are identified by email address. The system merges duplicate submissions onto the existing contact record. Configure duplicate handling in the Actions tab to choose whether new submissions overwrite existing data or leave original data unchanged.
Q: Can I A/B test different versions of my landing page?
A: While there's no built-in A/B testing tool, you can create multiple versions of a page and use different URLs to track which performs better through separate analytics. The Copy function makes creating variations easy.
Q: Do landing pages work on mobile devices?
A: Yes. Landing pages automatically adapt to different screen sizes, ensuring forms display properly on phones, tablets, and desktops.
Q: Can I collect payment information through landing pages?
A: Landing pages are designed for lead capture, not payment processing. For transactions, you'd need to integrate with external payment platforms or redirect to a payment page.
Q: How do I connect my landing page to Google Ads or Facebook Ads?
A: Use the Full Link from your landing page as the destination URL in your ad campaigns. The link works anywhere you can paste a URL.
Q: Can I edit a landing page after it's been published?
A: Yes. Changes take effect immediately. If you need to make significant updates without affecting live traffic, switch the page to Offline mode first, make your edits, then switch it back Online.
Q: What if I don't have professional images or design skills?
A: The pre-built templates include placeholder images and professional layouts. Simply replace text and images with your own content. Many users find stock photo sites like Unsplash or Pexels for free professional images.
Q: Can I password-protect a landing page?
A: There's no built-in password protection. Landing pages are designed to be publicly accessible so anyone with the link can submit the form.
Q: How quickly do submitted contacts appear in my database?
A: Immediately. Form submissions add contacts to your database in real time, triggering any configured workflows or automations instantly.
Q: What's the difference between a landing page and a popup form?
A: Landing pages are standalone web pages accessed via a unique URL. Popup forms use the same content but display as overlay popups on existing pages. Configure popup behavior through the Popup Form tab.
