Setup: Writing Voice Profiles

Why This Matters

The AI Writer produces solid drafts, but they sound like the AI wrote them, because it did. It has no idea how you write.

A Writing Voice Profile fixes that. You give it samples of your own writing, and it learns your vocabulary, your sentence rhythm, your habits. After that, one click rewrites any draft to sound like you.

This is a one time setup. Do it once and every draft you write from then on can carry your voice.

Before You Begin

Gather one to five samples of your own writing. Emails you have sent, letters, notes, social posts, anything that sounds the way you actually communicate.

Choose real writing, not writing you polished for an occasion. The goal is to show the AI how you sound on an ordinary day, not on your best behavior.

Each sample can be up to 1,000 characters, and longer samples give the AI more to learn from than short ones.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open Writing Voice Settings

Go to AI, then Writing Voice Settings.

You start with a profile called Default. You can build your voice there, or create a separate one.

Step 2: Create a Profile

Click Add New Profile and give it a name that says what it is for. Something like Sales Emails or Casual Follow-Ups. The name is what you will pick from later when you are working in the AI Writer, so make it obvious.

You can create more than one profile. Most people find two is plenty: one for professional writing and one for something warmer.

Step 3: Add Your Samples

Paste your writing into the sample boxes. There are five slots and a character counter under each one.

A few things make a real difference here. Use writing you actually sent, not something you rewrote to sound impressive. Mix in different kinds of writing if you want a well rounded voice, such as a sales pitch, a casual note, and a follow-up. And give each sample enough length to work with, since a two sentence sample tells the AI almost nothing.

You do not need all five slots. One good sample beats five weak ones.

Step 4: Save

Click Save Profile. It is ready to use immediately.

Step 5: Use It in the AI Writer

Write a draft in the AI Writer as usual, then click Use My Writing Voice. The draft is rewritten in your style.

If you have more than one profile, choose which one from the dropdown next to the button.

💡 Use My Writing Voice is a refinement like any other, and there is no undo. If you like the draft you have, copy it to the clipboard before applying your voice.

Managing Your Profiles

Use the Select Profile dropdown to switch between profiles.

Rename changes a profile's name. Delete Profile removes it. To update a profile, select it, edit the sample boxes, and save again.

Questions and Answers

Q: How many profiles can I create?

A: More than one, and most people find two covers it. A professional voice and a casual voice handles nearly everything.

Q: Do my team members see my profiles?

A: No. Writing Voice Profiles are personal. Yours are yours, and your team members have their own.

Q: Do the AI Builders use my writing voice?

A: No. Writing Voice Profiles work with the AI Writer only.

Q: What kind of writing makes the best sample?

A: Something you actually sent to a real person. Authentic beats polished. If you rewrite a sample to make it sound better, you are teaching the AI to sound like someone you are not.

Q: Can I use Use My Writing Voice without setting up a profile?

A: No. You need at least one saved profile with at least one sample in it.

Q: Will it sound exactly like me?

A: It will get close, and closer with better samples. Treat the result as a strong draft, not a finished one. Read it before you send it.
